The Procureweb team now solely support the Gem system

The following services provide some of the services and information that the team used to provide.

GeM - The sectors Contracts Database and eMarketplace

GeM contains all sector negotiated collaborative agreement information and provides a secure, controlled environment in which to get quotes and buy directly from sector approved suppliers.

GeM is FREE to use for all HE and FE institutions and contracted suppliers. The system provides a controlled environment to get EU complaint quotes against framework agreement which can be easily flipped into orders and paid for in a single process. GeM has full audit reporting and a suite of real time spend analysis reporting tools. The system has been designed to help institutions save money by increasing the spend that goes through the sector negotiated agreements. Further to this, GeM will reduce the administrative costs associated with transacting with suppliers.

Used by the whole sector GeM is now the central point for spend and supplier information for the sector. www.gem.ac.uk

The HEPA site has been set up to provide information about procurement best practice through becoming a centre of excellence to advance professional procurement in UK universities. www.hepa.ac.uk
