Procureweb is a procurement support service for the Higher Education Sector, UK Further Education Sector and Research Councils.
Procureweb recognises that getting the very best value for money from the goods and services we buy is a big priority for Universities, Colleges and Research Councils. High quality procurement is all about ensuring the best value is achieved from our purchase and Procureweb - a JISC Advance Service - provides a service to all involved in the sector to help make sure our buying is optimised. Procureweb provide tools, information and support to anyone who participates in the procurement process within the sector such as users, buyers or sellers.
Services provided include the sectors' central contract database (CuPID); a free tendering provision, (www.tenders.ac.uk); a free 'electronic billboard' (Xchange); procurement related web site hosting; tools and electronic systems development; website design; forums; documentation; and links to relevant resources. Procureweb recognises that procurement in the HE Sector is a key strategic function, for improving the quality and efficiency of education and research.
